This video clip, “JISC: Libraries of the Future”, outlines people are no longer looking to books as primary sources for information, but are looking to digital technologies to find the information that they are looking for. “JISC: Libraries of the Future”, gives a great overview on how people are interacting with technology to satisfy their information needs and that libraries need to change their role to assist people to access these digital resources and not rely on an “unclassified” Google search. Participants in the video note that a Google search is much more common to look for information and that they don’t rely on printed materials as they would have in the past.
